I am loving the cold breeze that's hitting our place at the moment but the downside to it also is the double effort to wake up each morning for work. One just  wants to extend some more sleep time and  laze there on the sheets and listen to the pitter-patting of the rain. As a result I had been late for work for three consecutive days. I also found myself muttering some curse words as I showered 5 minutes less than the usual bath time because of the "freezing" cold water. So two Saturdays ago, it was a relief that Mr. Sun finally came out and and gave us a whole day of sunshiny fun at the pool.

As you would have  noticed my baby dog Kaboom is stealing some of my thunder and wants to upstage me with his cute presence. I wonder where he got his camwhoring ways. hahaha Also while i was dressing up my very inquisitive niece asked me if i was going to the beach because of the huge hat. hahaha I jokingly told her auntie was going to a music festival which solicited more questions from her. haha I love my Ate Kaira. :)
She is my first niece and she just turned 7 last Saturday. We celebrated her birthday with a simple pool party. My friends tell me she's a younger version of me and i couldn't be any prouder because she's one jolly, talkative, and witty child.

I love you, Ate K!!! :)

Trenched

Cebu had been rather gloomy and colder the past few days. So i found myself finally wearing the trench coats i thrifted some six months ago. And at last people in the workplace didn't give me the scrutinizing second look for wearing boots as if it's a capital punishment crime to ever wear one. I proudly strutted my wintery outfit and gave the close minded senior employees clad in their summery jeans/shirt/sandals a dirty look for wearing such weather-inappropriate clothes. Ha! But behind the brave face i was secretly praying to the heavens that the erratic weather won't change its mind or else I'm gonna die of profused sweating should Mr.Sun decides to come out. hahaha

The other day we experienced massive flooding in Cebu and my heart goes out to all the school children trapped in their classrooms during the havoc. I am seriously praying that the rain would stop now so we can all go back to our regular lives. Cold weather is good but not this.
Be safe everyone!

This was during the meet-up with the ultra stylish and sweet blogger friends Aisa of Drowning Equilibriums, Gizelle of Vanilla Ice Cream, and Vanessa East of One Frozen Margarita. This was i think three days after Christmas when Aisa visited Cebu. Never mind if it's a month late, this deserves to be posted coz this is one meet-up for the books.

As you may have known by now from my previous post, I am uber shy when it comes to new acquaintances. Because with strangers you always tend to be on your heels measuring up on what makes the person tick. I am always the one question-one answer type.

Such is not the case with my blogger friends. Even if it's our first time to meet our chat time is like we've known one another for years! We could talk about fashion for hours and never get bored. Or we could discuss random things about each other which, take note, we only discovered on a "virtual" level. It's a breath of fresh air to be surrounded with kindred souls who I can chat about how cool a lace dress without being judged as too old-fashioned or about how possible it is to dress up in layers in a tropical country such as ours. Or how it's not trashy to wear lingerie as outerwear. And the list can go on and on.

I've always known Aisa to be nice and endearing due to her writings on her blog. But in person, she is unbelievably sweet and very down-to-earth, I didn't expect a tiny framed lady like her could pack so much fun and laughter in her body! And her legs are ridiculously skinny i'm so jealous.
Now good Heavens you know i want my thin legs back so badly. Hear me out now! haha

P.S. A big hug and thank you to the ever-supportive partner of Aisa, Mitch, who took photos of us that night and for treating us drinks and mexican food while we chatted up until 2 am. :)

The beautiful Miss East, gave me this Stylish Blogger Award. Thank you dear! That's so sweet of you. :)

Here are the rules:

a. Thank the person who gave you the award.
b. List down seven random things about yourself
c. Then give this application and award on to 7 other bloggers and let them know.

So here are the things you probably don't know about me yet :)

1. Dancing is my biggest frustration. This girl can’t bust a  move! Blame it on mom who told me I dance funny when I was 12. Since then I never got my groove back. Haha But I’m cooking some cool dance moves for the wedding day. Haha
2. I dream of becoming a secret agent. I want to kick ass like Jennifer Garner did in Alias. I could watch the 4 seasons of Alias and never get bored. I have a penchant for hacking my boyfriend's emails, multiply, and facebook account. See i'm such a wicked spy. lol
3. I walk fast even when I’m in heels. Even when I’m not in a hurry I just can’t bring myself to walk slowly.
4. I am a cry baby. When i'm tired, i sometimes destress by listening to sappy love songs, then cry. I always feel better after.
5. I can't cook. Save for instant noodles and anything with ingredients that requires only cooking oil and some frying.
6. I can't leave the house without sunglasses. My eyes squint at the slightest ray of sunlight.
7. I am painfully shy among strangers and new acquaintances, which leads to the impression that I'm a snob. But I'm really chatty and in fact the noisiest among my friends. :)

So there you go. I'm giving this award to:

2. Aileen Kim of House of Isla
3. Melai of Style and Soul
4. Gela of Boat Ride Through the Sky
5.  Shari of Aviator Shades
6. A + B of A Plus B in the Sea
7.Carla of Xcess Baggage

HOLA FRIENDS!!!

My deep apologies for my two-week absence in the blogging world. The past  weeks had been wickedly busy but I'm telling you I have never been any crazy-happier. I have a lot to tell you guys but I want photos to go with the story and right now I don't have any of them in current possession so I will blog about them when I have time to copy the photos from the boyfriend's computer. I know you will  still read them even if the story is days-old already, right? RIGHT? Please say you will. :) tehehe

Ok so catching on my backlogs, the photos above were during our first ever grade school reunion. That's like 15 years after we graduated. So what has changed, aside from the obvious we-have-gotten-older faces?

a. Our noses are the cleanest now. Who didn't experience the running-nose-phase back then? I know we all did. haha
b. We grew wider instead. Because chlorella growth factor wasn't famous back then and we didn't listen to mom when she begged us to religiously drink our milk.
c. Our feet and hair are properly groomed now. I remember having sticky hair back then as a result of  classroom sweeping then playing chinese garter before hitting home.
d. Is it to safe to say that we are obviously mature now? haha

It was nice catching up with old friends who helped shaped who i am today.
They will always hold a special place in my heart.

I hope one of these days I will be reunited with the USC Torpedo Warriors Swimming Team. :)
I miss them terribly. Especially Coach Gino "The Wolverine" Bagano. :)

Had no time to edit so I uploaded it as is. :)

Hope you're 2011 is beyond great so far!
