{ C L I F F S I D E }

Some outtakes from our engagement shoot in the cliffs of the Antulang peninsula.

It is very important that your engagement photos be taken by someone you are comfortable with. Because this session entails a lot of things you don't normally do on a daily basis. I for one am not a showy person so it's hard for me to be all sweet and lovey dovey in front of a group of people. I am just really thankful and lucky that ours were taken by a member of our team, James Diayon, who is also a great friend by the way and who shares the same style and creativity as us.   So it was all fun fun fun! Notice my reaction. I didn't know I was bungisngis like that. hahaha

For couples who enlist the service of professional photographers for their wedding, engagement session is the best way to bond with your photographer and warm up to them. Believe me, during the first few shots the couple are usually stiff and shy and sweaty. But after a few clicks, laughs, and conversation, the couple is back to their natural and charming old selves. So come your wedding day, it will be as easy as pie and you'll be like best friends! Also, it is crucial that you choose a photographer that matches your style. All photographers i believe capture amazing and quality photos. But they surely vary in artistic approach and style. Some couple prefer photographers with fine art approach, others are awed with out-of-the-box style, and some prefer the teleserye-poster types.  So the secret is you must know your style first and start the search from there. :)

The last four photos were from the official set. Head on over to Marlon Capuyan Photography for more. :)

Finally, I have decided a theme for the upcoming important event in my life. Looking at these pictures taken some months back by the boyfriend, I want this celebration to be exactly like this; calm, laidback, intimate, bohemian, whimsical. Now how i wish the planning is also as serene and relaxed as I was in the photos.
Oh well, wish me luck! :)

This was during my three-hour side trip to Tagaytay a day after the Bloggers United 3 event. We had lunch at RSM Lutong Bahay which has one of the perfect and unobstructed view of the Taal volcano.  Big thanks to Gizelle and Charm's Manila-based family for adopting me during the last two blogger events. You guys rock. :) I was supposed to stay a little longer but the thousand mile traffic to Sonia's Garden prevented me to proceed so I decided to just head back to the city for my return flight to Cebu.

As for the outfit, I actually just brought two sets of outfit for BU. One that I wore on the actual event and the other for some chill out time before my flight the next day. Yes, talk about traveling light! I acquired the cape probably a year ago and i have been itching  to wear it ever since I bought it. But every time I open my closet I felt the perfect time has not come yet. I have a penchant for waiting for the right time to wear a certain outfit. haha I don't know it's just me. And it felt right to be worn in chilly Tagaytay so I readily packed it for this trip. :)

{ FLOWER CHILD : PREVIEW }

Photobucket

I promised the boyfriend he'll be the first to post photos but a teaser will not hurt, right?
He had me pose for him  so he can practice on the editing software he bought recently. I stole one picture  and edited it my way. haha He's gonna kill me for this but he doesn't stalk my blog so he wouldn't know. haha What you don't know won't hurt you, as the saying goes.

Once he gets to round up the set, I'll share them here. :)

{ NOSTALGIC GROUND }

Spent my Saturday last week shooting a client's engagement at our alma mater, the University of San Carlos - Technological Center a.k.a. TC a.k.a Bukid. Stepping into The Portal (that's how they call the entrance gate nowadays) brought back some good old bittersweet memories of my life at the university. Sweet because this was where I met my bestfriend/enemy/soulmate/fiance some ten years ago. Bitter because college life was anything but easy especially the last three years where all the major subjects thesis and plant design included  were tackled . Up until now I still cannot fathom why I studied Chemical Engineering. I wanted to be a lawyer during highschool and I originally applied for Political Science at the USC-Main but backed out because the main campus used to be toxic then and I wanted a relax and chill environment. haha
But I think the universe must have conspired to bring me to enroll at TC and paved the way for me to meet my partner. Gosh. Cheesy. haha

The event we citizens of the South look forward to after the New Year is of course, Sinulog!
ALthough, the boyfriend and I initially did not plan to go out coz were feeling grinchy that day. We originally just wanted to spend some place quiet like a beach perhaps just to be different coz we know all the people will be flocking in the city streets. But he changed his mind at the last minute because this was his first time after six years of being a corporate slave to attend the festivity without having to worry about beating the 2am shift the following day.
So off we went, just us two, yes we are cheesy like that. Blame it on the poor cellphone signal, our text invites  to our friends for a night of partying were left unanswered. Anyways, it's always fun with the boyfriend around So I had a blast even if it was just us two. :)

On another note, i apologize if my blog was indisposed for a number of days. Photobucket had to block me for exceeding the allowable bandwidth. haha I guess it's time to switch to pro account, huh? :)

We had a bohemian-themed shoot last Saturday so I decided to dress bohemian too to be in the mood and to keep the creative juices flowing.   I'm too excited how the photos will turn out. The boyf is currently post-processing them right now. Can't hardly wait! :)
But because I'm overly excited here is a sneak peek of the shoot last Saturday.

Meanwhile, enjoy Xiao & Angel's post-nup session for now. Too bad it rained on the night of their wedding they had not got the chance to release their fire lanterns. Because they are such a cool couple, we were more than glad to recreate the moment for them. It was  dreamy and magical. :)
