{ HIGH AND LOW }

I have been on a conscious effort to eat less and eat only healthy foods the last two weeks. God, i didn't know losing weight could be so difficult. I've always been a heavy rice eater so it's hard to veer away from my regular diet. I've lost 1 kilo so far,  I have yet to lose 6 more. I don't know how I'm gonna do that in a span of 1.5 months. haha

On to the outfit...

 I'm not the type who follows trends to the hilt. In fact, I easily get discouraged  to try one if a certain style of dress has plagued the displays of department stores, online shops, or bazaars. I don't know it's just me. haha So I know I'm super late on the mullet trend. I bought this dress because I am a sucker for polka dots and lace. The hi-lo cut was just a bonus. :)

{ S A L M O N }

I am currently loving shades of salmon, peach, and melon. It's pleasing to the eyes and i believe it compliments my skin tone. I have been looking for these hues during my recent thrifting excursions.
I've kind of laid low to spending much time in vintage shops in the past months but lately  we found ourselves seeking the treasure tents of Carbon and Mandaue week after week. The boyfriend have been surprisingly supportive of my thrifting escapades so that really made me a happy, non-bitchy girlfriend to him lately. :)

{ WHITE OUT }

If there's one thing in this world I would've wanted to be endowed with naturally it would have to be mile-long legs. It's always been my frustration to be tall. Thank God heels and shorts were invented  they give our legs the illusion of length.

But one has to be cautious also when wearing short shorts. If paired with the wrong top and accessories it might make one appear , yes maybe tall, but slutty (at least in the conservative Philippine landscape).
So for me I opted to wear my white shorts with a crisp white long sleeve buttondown to make up for the bare legs. And chose the classic black pumps (no lucite heels please) and a serious-looking bag (that's not an Hermes but how i wish it is!) . I kept the accessories minimal too except for the statement necklace to add a little contrast to the white shirt.

And oh, it does not hurt if you get photographed from the ground up.   That angle does wonders for me. :)

This distressed denim has been in my closet for like forever but i can't seem to give it up. I always get sold out with its perfect color and the snug fit on the hips that's why I'm not yet ready to put it to rest despite its current state of distress.  What once were tiny holes have now developed into wider ones and every time I sit down or pick up something I can hear it being ripped further apart. haha
Paired it with this classic black pumps which I got from Eden to balance out the ruggedness.

{ RUFFLED AND TIERED }

This was what I wore during a dinner date with the boyfriend a while back. We see each other everyday for client meetings and routinary post-production work for our other love, photography. But we seldom go out to just talk about ourselves and be just boyfriend-girlfriend. haha
So we decided to take a break from being business partners, slow down, and celebrate the more important things in life.  A simple dinner, movie date, then coffee after always does the trick. :)
Thank you Lord for the gift of time and for all the blessings that has come our way. :)

P.S. Parang feeling first date lang ang peg ko dito. Agree? haha
