{ DARK AND GLOOMY }

Last week I had to let go of one of the things that really matters to me, my Nikon DSLR camera. It was really heartbreaking I had to resist the urge to grab it from the buyer and call off the deal while he was thoroughly inspecting it. I decided to just wait in the car and let my boyfriend deal with the buyer while I struggled with my feelings and convinced myself that it had to be done. If only I had lots of money to upgrade to a new camera and keep the old one on the side, I would. But because we're saving up, a new camera would only be possible by letting go of the old one. :( I hope the new owner takes care of that baby and may they create wonderful memories through pictures together. I know material things are just fleeting. But it's the love and care that you put into a thing that makes it more special and hard to let go. I'm so sentimental.

And because I'm devoid of a camera now, these lovely photos were taken by the boyfriend to ease my sorrows away. These were shot during a hippie-themed engagement shoot for one of our clients. Even my clothes and the weather reflected my current state of emotion that day; dark and gloomy.

What I wore to our summer outing with the fam bam.
We went to Dakong Bato Leisure Resort in Dalaguete, a southern town located  2 hours away from the city. It was a long ride but the scenic view, relaxed and not so crowded beach made it worthwhile.

As for the outfit, this flowy stripe and floral maxi dress is perfect for the summer breeze. I got this during one of my short work stints in Las Pinas. I always travel alone so I kill time by scouring the thrift shops just a stone throw away from the office.

The title by the way is a song by the Wonggoys, a Cebuano band, that's making waves in the music scene. They sound good live or recorded. With accompaniment or without. In short, they are extremely talented. Plus they are down-to-earth. That's why I'm a big fan. :)

Anyone who's close to me knows I'm a sucker for a heaven-on-earth beach island paradise.
So here I was breaking the monotony called work and frolicking like there's no tomorrow.
Ah LOveettt!!!!

I'm feeling rather sickly these days.
NEED.VACATION.ASAP.

Meanwhile, these photos were taken one sunny afternoon during a picnic/park outing with the boyfriend. It was raining nonstop from the previous days and le soleil was surprisingly up and smiling, so we grabbed the opportunity to bask in the beautiful weather.
