{ I WANT BEACH & SUNSETS }

Critical analysis and decision-making can be draining. Sometimes I wish my work only entails the routinary typing and filing. When someone relies on you for decisions on things you yourself  is unsure of, now that can be tough. Because you don't want to be too careless on your advice or you will be blamed too in the process should it fail. So sometimes I wish I could just sit there stamp papers and probably daydream of beach and sunsets all day while doing stuff that does not need any major brain activity. But then that would be so boring right? But it does not hurt if i can have that peace once in a while.

Can you feel the blazing summer heat in these photos? :)As far as I can remember Holy week is always the hottest time of the year.

This is what I wore during lunch with the boyfriend on Maundy Thursday. We had to go on a semi-road trip to find an open restaurant because the malls were closed and almost every establishment was on holiday too. The only upside is that the streets were barren as a desert. Hallelujah!

So my summer uniform consists mainly of this usual denim cut-offs, cotton shirt, a hat to ward off the heat from my face and the ever essential sunglasses to shield my too sensitive eyes from the blinding sun. And oh yes, plus an oversize bag with hardware big enough to complete the tough chic look.

I can't believe I braved the crowd in Downtown Cebu for some last minute gift shopping a day before Christmas. Me of all people who hates crowds decided to buy in a shopping battle place like Colon. Because it's a lot cheaper than in malls I can totally understand why people flock to this side of the city whether it be holiday, school, graduation, or all souls day season.

Prior to that, I even scored some cute thrifted stuff during its annual night market a few weeks ago.

In light of the tragedy that happened to our fellow Filipinos in Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, and Dumaguete, let's all be united in helping them in whatever way that we can. For sure, relief good stations are strategically located within your area and definitely in churches. And most of all, our prayers will surely go a long long way.

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

{Holiday Rush}

Went to run some errands and bought gifts for the coming Holiday season. Also accompanied the boyfriend to survey prospective locations for an upcoming shoot. So the only way to go was to wear flats for such an action-packed day. Action-packed in a sense that shopping nowadays requires a lot of legwork and patience (especially long cue for the cashier and the cab) to get everything done in one day.
Also decided to wear this breezy top I scored a while back from Gillian during the Bloggers United 2 bazaar. I got this one for free. Thanks Gillian! :)

edit: The top is from Eden pala. haha Sorry for the mix-up. Thanks Eden! :)

Survived a health scare this week. I think stress was a big factor. It has been one hell of a busy week and my body sort of warned me to slow down and relax. But how can I relax when next week and the whole month of December and January is already planned out. But all these work are blessings from the heavens so I will just have to embrace everything and maybe listened to the doctor's advice to drink a lot of water and avoid salty food. Eeeek! The first one I can probably do but the second one? I don't know I think I'm not yet ready to give up on junk food. So help me God.

P.S. It may have looked like I was relaxing at the beautiful  Shangri-la but I was actually working on a shoot here. This even conflicted with the bloggers photoshoot for a newspaper feature in which i was supposedly part of :( But hey there's always next time.

MIXED ANIMAL

Another work-outfit post.
Bought this animal print blazer during one of our thrifting excursions in Colon. I was actually torn between a fully sequined party top and this. I thought I wouldn't be giving the sequined number some justice because of my non-existent party life so I got this cute blazer instead.

I'm also getting utmost mileage from this comfy red heels. They give any prim and conservative outfit an instant hint of sexy.

Found the perfect flowy maxi skirt during a recent thrifting stint at the boyfriend's hometown. Good old town fiesta bazaars offer the cheapest and most exciting treasure trove. Most of my adored clothes are almost always left lying there at the bottom of the pile untouched, waiting to be discovered by someone with a penchant for unique print and texture.

Worn to a client engagement shoot at Mancao heritage house in Carcar, south of Cebu.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going

Four days to go and it's our company's Christmas Party and this current hectic schedule of mine will be a long gone memory. I so can't wait for this to be over. You know I don't dance and sing (well only in the bathroom at least) with a legitimate audience like never in my life (except in grade school.LOL) so you can just imagine how stressful it is for me to practice all the moves. Teamwork is more important to me than being subjected to a ten-minute agony of showing my poor dancing skills that's why I said yes to this. tehehe
So here's me hoping I don't trip on my 5-inch heels while I dance my ass off. LOL.
Honestly speaking, my ass hurts. I must have sprained my pelvis during practice.
So help me God.
