Truckloads of Thanks to the Maru crew!

It's just near the boy's house so it's like his hang-out place. Quaint little place Cafe Maru is.
Cafe Maru is located at Banilad, Cebu City across Sto. Nino Village. :)

“I have always loved the beach. The smell of the salty water, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense of peace and calm.”
---Anonymous

Four days worth of being lulled by the ocean waves and brought into nirvana just by staring at the endless horizon during sunset so beautiful you don't ever want to blink.

Shot on location at Kookoo's Nest, Antulang, Negros Oriental.
I will forever be enamored by thee.

{ PRESS + PRELUDE }

A day before the Bloggers United 2 bazaar, the Cebu Fashion Bloggers Eden Villarba, Alexa Luna, Gillian Uang, Vanessa East, Yves Camingue, Gizelle Sembrano, and yours truly were featured in the Freeman; a popular daily here in Cebu. We were at the waiting lounge of  Mactan airport en route for our flight to Manila when we heard of the news from Eden. The newspapers were already sold out in the magazine stands and Alexa and I had to scheme our way into getting a copy from one of the airport's coffee shop. haha Stealing is bad people but we only tore off a page so I guess we only committed a venial sin? haha
Thank you Kristine Roa for the write-up and the Freeman for featuring us. :)

On a different note, I know it's very late but I'll be posting our Dumaguete vacation photos from November of last year on my next post. Boyfriend has this weird rules about he should be the first to post photos of our travel. He became too busy towards the end of the year so no travel photos surfaced yet. I had to go rebellious on him and break his rules. I am posting them first. Ha!

So, here's a preview.

I am loving the black and white treatment on this one. Such a classic. Definitely deserves the bedside frame treatment.

Who says you can't wear sparkly clothes during an ordinary day and on broad daylight?

Since I don't party much, i have to find ways to incorporate some of my party clothes (which i dutifully buy and reserve for some spur of the moments partying plans) into my ordinary day style.  My trick is I just added a hint of funk vibe via a splash of color to tone down this party piece. Then finish off with a hat which comes in handy during flat hair days then I'm good to go.

The boyfriend once asked me what is it about bloggers and that looking-at-the-ground thing when being photographed? I don't know with the other bloggers but my answer to that is this: i am too shy to look straight to the camera especially when there are a lot of people (or worse strangers) around. So i just act as if I don't really care. haha
Everytime I'm in a public place like a mall for example, I just instruct the boyfriend to  click click click then I just move a little, bend a little or pretend to walk away so as not to be obvious that I am being photographed. S&#t! What can I do I am painfully shy like that.

At nag-fashion blogger pa ako. Eh gusto ko to eh. Whatever!

How about you guys, what is your explanation to this generic and fail safe fashion blogger pose? :)

This thrifted lumberjack dress is a little big on me on the waistline area but the print is just too pretty to pass up. Anyway, there's always the cute belt to solve everything.

My style has always been made for summer dressing but this time I took advantage of the chilly weather to dress London cool. :)

P.S. Baguio's pine trees make for a nice backdrop for an outfit post, don't you guys think? I'll forever be in awe with Baguio. :)

Happy New Year, lovelies!
