take me to the place i love

The past few days all i've been dreaming of is a quiet vacation at the beach. While most people go party and drink the night away on weekends to unwind, i much rather prefer the sanctuary of the sand and ocean. i love daydreaming and the beach is the perfect place where i can really think of my goals and keep me on track. Plus the endless horizon and the lulling of the ocean breeze just keeps me on a trance erasing the negativities accumulated from the past months.

The boyfriend and i discovered this amazing secret beach in one of our trips. It's secluded, mystical, and has one of the wildest sunsets i've ever seen. It's one thing i love about the ocean; the unobstructed view of the setting sun. It's just so romantic it always never fails to take my breath away. I can't wait to go back. I hope the boyfriend will be blessed with a leave from work so that we can finally push trough with our vacation.

I'm waiting and dreaming...

that other birthday song

The office boss celebrated her birthday last Thursday and we prepared a surprise greeting via a song "thanks to you" which we planned to sing once she gets inside the empty and dark room while we hide at the back prior to her arrival. Yeah because we are mushy and cheesy like that.hahaha
Anyways,let's just say we panicked and were more surpised to see her because we ended up speechless and just stood there for like 2 whole minutes while she stared at us perplexed about what we were doing hiding in the dark with a song "kodigo" on our hands.haha
It was just too funny that we ended up singing the "happy birthday" instead of the originally planned song number. Talk about being awkward!
My colleagues agreed to wear plaids and checkered shirts for the occassion. Lots and lots of beautiful origami flowers which were a labor of love from us were gifted for the boss. My favorite is the rose bouquet. They look exactly like the real thing. Love it!

why does it always rain on me?

My mood these past few days have been mirroring the current weather condition: gloomy, erratic, and depressing. I don't know if the weather is to blame or am i just stressed out at work or am i being a brat. Or experiencing a quarter life crisis perhaps. Or the hormones. But my PMS period isn't another two weeks away. Am i menopausal? haha So many questions. I was confused and irritable. Yesterday, I cried when I reached the comfort of my messy and dusty room (gotta clean now!) . I haven't cried for the last three months (okay, except last wednesday when pres. cory was laid to rest). maybe our tearducts need to get rid of those build up and unshed tears and automatically sends stimuli to our brains dictating us to be sad and depressed so tears will be released. okay i'm making up stories now. i hope this feeling leaves my system asap.

And oh btw, i got myself a gorgeous vintage pink floral coat for only PhP100! Biggest bang for my bucks! Finds like this really make me super high. See, i'm going gaga! One minute i'm sad the next I'm ecstatic. I know my boy is going to lecture me about buying too many things he thinks i don't need but this purchase really made me happy i think I'll never be sad again..... for the next two weeks! Who doesn't want a happy and contented girlfriend? I know he will understand. Besides, i need that for our Baguio trip.

This dress which i fondly call "barbara" is one of my favorite thrifted finds. barbara because it reminds me of barbie; it's sweet, feminine, and of course pink!!! it was love at first sight and i only got it for roughly a dollar (PhP 50)! i love it most because it's breezy and i practically wear it every chance i get especially when i'm running late for work and i'm not decided on what to wear, i simply put it on and i'm good to go. no more second thoughts.

B + J The Engagement Project

{Photography: Marlon Capuyan // Hair & Make-up: Bienne Ybañez }

Me and the boy were fortunate to shoot B & J's engagement pictorial. Ever the supportive girlfriend, I served as the photographer's assistant for this project. The photos and outfits are worthy of a chictopia post i tell you but i just can't post them right now because the couples want their guests to see them first. They're getting hitched this 22nd of the month. So please enjoy the teaser for now. :) My boy is a newbie at photography but I'm proud of this work because he worked hard for this, i can attest to that. haha

It was a holiday and the boyfriend was itching to practice his shutterbug moves so he asked me to be his stand-in model for one of his projects. I was growing moody by the minute because the mosquitoes were feasting on my arms and i was beginning to be anxious of the various catcalls i received from the passersby at the park. Yeah because people sometimes do not mind their own businesses. ha!
