It was my office mate's birthday today and we had a feast during lunch break. I think I over ate on the dessert because now I feel like a snake which ate a month's worth of prey. I feel like I don't wanna make the slightest effort to move (well except press the keyboard as I type). LOL

Truth be told, eating is my next worse vice...after shopping of course!tehehe

I have been slacking on the need to exercise. I so want to fit in my bride's maid gown for my bestfriend's wedding this December. So from this day forward I promise (as in pinky-promise!) to burn some of the calories I gained (from binging on too much junkfood and frequent visits to fastfoods) by hitting the pool and swim a couple of 50 laps per day. Swimming is the only form of exercise I love. I don't like hitting the gym coz I get sticky all over after the routine. With swimming, I feel refreshed after every bath.

The title is from the song Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional.
I love the lyrics. It's very memorable to me. :)

Anyone who's close to me knows I'm a sucker for a heaven-on-earth beach island paradise.
So here I was breaking the monotony called work and frolicking like there's no tomorrow.
Ah LOveettt!!!!

My bestfriend is getting married and the boyfriend and I covered their engagement session.
My other bestfriend and her husband also tagged along so it was altogether a vacation and a shoot. The last out of town we had together was almost a year ago in Bora. They are always a ray of sunshine to be with. I love them to bits! :)

The beach was a 2 1/2-hour ride from the city but it took us almost 6 hours to reach Malapascua Island; a sprawling white sand beach north of Cebu. We had a little stop-over at one of the famous lighthouses to shoot the first set of the engagement session. We reached the drop-off point to the island at lunch time but had to wait for the boat to reach full capacity. The other passengers refused to get on the boat just yet because they didn't wanna miss the mayweather-marquez fight. Anxious to get to the island fast, we resorted to renting the whole boat. haha

It was a short trip because we had to go back to the city the next day due to work. Major bummer. Boooooo!
Most of the time were spent shooting but oh well I'm just happy that I get to enjoy the beach even for a little bit. :)

A big shout-out and THANK YOU to CHRIS AND BERNS FASHION for lending us some of the dresses. For fab, chic, and affordable finds, you can check out their shop located at the Maze Ayala Center, Cebu.

the apathy should end now

I have never voted in my entire life.
That's because I have never been registered to vote.
I love the Philippines.
It always pains me to sometimes read about fellow Filipino bloggers saying bad things about our country.
I want a better Philippines.
And I'm making sure I'll play my part in choosing the best leader come May 2010.
I have been apathetic for the longest time. It's not too late for me. It's not yet too late for you, for us.

Weapon of Mass Distraction

I look really haggard in these photos so I opted to spare you guys from the presence of my sweaty face.
Took these during lunch break for our engagement shoot with Carla + James.
More stories about that when I post their pictures.

Before I left the house, my mom told me to stay away from giant magnets
I might get stuck due to the full metal gear on my feet. LOLs
And to take cover during lightning. LOLs
People were looking at me from toe to head. They must have been overwhelmed by the metal armour I was sporting. tehehe
