Three days before Christmas while the boyfriend and I were shopping for gifts for our loved ones I intentionally led him to the shoe section of SM to hint him on the pair of shoes i wanted for Christmas. I tried it on and asked the saleslady for a size 8 and blurted it out loud so the boyfriend can clearly hear. hahaha And if that was not enough the hinting dragged on during dinner and i gushed about how gorgeous those pair was and how i could play it up with a different looks. So Christmas day came and the boyfriend handed me his gift and I could see that it was a pair of shoes judging from the box. I was giddy coz i could sense that i'm finally getting the pair i have been drooling over for the couple of days. I hurriedly untied the cloth package and to my surprise it was indeed a pair of shoes... albeit not the one I expected!!!
To my dismay the first words that came out my ingrate mouth were " but these are not the ones I wanted!". Boyfriend must have been so hurt that he just kept quiet for like 5 minutes then said to me that he'll just have it replaced. Good sense  must have struck into my brain while I get dressed for our dinner date. It was then that I realized I was being too harsh on him considering he bought those right after his shift from work sleepless and all that and braved the rowdy crowd and long line at the department store. So to make it up to him I wore the shoes with finality so that I could no longer change my mind and have it replaced.
And I could say now that this baby is super comfortable and I could walk in them for hours unlike the other pairs I own. I am planning on making them my "official shoes" during our wedding photography gigs because they're cute, can match any outfit, and ultra comfy!
Thank you dear boyfriend for the shoes and most especially for putting up with me for the last nine years. :)

It's two days more to go before Christmas! I'm so into the Christmas spirit right now.

But I did not only caught the holiday bug, I also caught the much dreaded flu bug! Yeah two days before the merrymaking. Arrggghh, I so hate it! After a round of Christmas parties here and there plus weddings and engagement shoots just one week apart, my body finally caught up with me and reminded me I'm no superwoman. It's a great spoiler but I'm not letting this drippy nose and swelling and puffy eyes to dampen my holiday spirit. So I'm overdosing on Vitamin C right now praying to the heavens that this will all go away before Christmas eve.

Stay healthy you guys and Merry Christmas to you on your part of the world! :)

This dress used to be long but not long enough to touch the ankles. I would not have had this cut but unfortunately the mid-calf length was so unflattering  I had no choice but to say goodbye to the extra inches. The cut-off cloth was then converted into a head scarf.
I love how flowy this dress is and how it makes me feel so 70's bohemian.

It's almost Christmas! I'm giddy like a child.:)

You know how I wish I can wear all the designer stuffs most of the first world bloggers wear but then probably  I wouldn't live up to 30 years old coz I'll  die of starvation.  My rule of thumb is: if you can afford it, why not? If you can't, then don't push it. There's always the thrift shop to satisfy one's designer needs. Honestly since I've started blogging, i've seldom purchased clothes from department stores save for some pair of shoes.

Pastel blue shorts - Ralph Lauren (thrifted)

My love affair for polka dots knows no season or trends. When I hit the thrift stores, i'm always drawn to anything polka dot in all types of color combination. And my love extends to accessories, bags, belts, scarves, and hey even undies. haha
Some people may find huge polka dots to be tacky but for me they're just an eye candy that's too hard to resist.

- Sunbathing non-stop under the sky that won't make up its mind.
 - Snorkeling under the rain at the beautiful albeit eerie and mysterious Pescador Island.
- More snorkeling at the coral and fish sanctuary just 5 minutes off Bas Daku. Too bad no one in the group brought an underwater camera. The boyfriend kept pestering me to place my PoGo in an underwater pack but I love my PoGo so much I didn't even dare take the risk of getting it wet and damaged. Ha!
 - Why does our appetite increase exponentially when we're at the beach? Blame it on good food, the fresh ocean breeze, and the company of funny people.
 - Drunk boyfriends enjoying a night of loud music and incoherent conversations while the girlfriends slept early  (ooopps forgot to document this!)

I was dead tired and my whole body was aching from all the snorkeling that we did on the second day that I slept during the whole 3-hour ride going home. I was even down with fever two days after due to muscle pain.Blame it on the too tight life jacket which constricted my whole upper body.Nonetheless, the whole snorkeling experience was worth it, it's like there's a whole different world down there. Although it's scary when you swim in the abyss where there is no hint of light and all you could feel is your heart beating fast and like someone or something is gonna grab you or vacuum you into the depths of no return. The boyfriend kept telling me to not look down and just tread on the water to get to the boat. I am a swimmer but I'm telling you I'm afraid of the deep sea. hahaha

All photos were shot using Polaroid PoGo.
