Today is my last day of work before I go on a 4-day holiday for holy week. I'm jumping up and down right now! Yipeey!
I got no definite plans but I'm sure wherever I will be, rest and relaxation is my number one priority. And of course maybe I'll do Visita Iglesia which I failed to do last year.
Hope you guys will have a blessed Holy Week.
Stay safe in all your trips!

Let's Go Now to the Zoo

My best friend in the whole wide world,Eda, celebrated her birthday last 21st of March and her husband who is now based in Singapore decided to surprise her the day before her big day so our annual tradition of her on-the-day celebration was moved to give them some lovey-dovey quality time. tehehe
We met up on the 26th instead and tried out this new seafood restaurant, Oyster Bay. The place has a cozy beach-side ambiance complete with white sand and a lagoon. It is located near the Mandaue-Lapu-lapu bridge so you can really feel the ocean breeze. The food was superb too. A very talented band (forgot their name) played a lot of my favorite reggae songs. We were transported back in time when we were chillaxing in Boracay a year ago. Miss Bora so so much.
I would have wanted to take a lot of photos for you guys but the boyfriend was cranky again.
He had work later that night and he reasoned he had only slept 4 hours earlier that day. So I ended up with only these grainy pics. Major bummer.
I even wore my DIY military jacket I rigorously made the night before so I can finally show off my own labor of love.
He even deprived me of one whole-body outfit. Unbelievable!
Okey enough with the rant.Next post I pinky promise to give you better set of photos. :)

P.S. In case you're wondering about my post title,"Let's go now to the Zoo" was the name of our group in high school. As to why, it's a very long story. hahaha

Wear your heart on your....SHIRT!

As much as I love seeing people wear the I Love NY shirt, I personally would not want to wear a shirt that I have no personal connection to. That is why I don't own one even if it' s a popular print among statement shirts.
Although I love the city because it's the setting of one of my favorite movies, Sex and the City, and of course the famous Upper East Sider, Gossip Girl, I have never been to NY so I have not tried first hand the wonders of the city that never sleeps.

But rest assured, it's one of my top dream destination. Number 2 actually after Paris. :)
So I was more than happy that Island Souvenirs, a shop based in Cebu, came up with these I LOVE CEBU shirts.
What's even great is that you can have your own shirt personalized and have your name reflected up there.
Simple but genius, right?
It's funny when strangers stare at your shirt and start calling you by your name. LOL
Cebu has nurtured me in my entire existence on this planet so I hope this simple shout-out would suffice in showing how much I love thee.

Wore this to work during our uniform-free day. Paired with a thrifted acid-washed jeans, people are people shoes, thrifted blazer, and chain necklace DIY'ed from a thrifted shirt.

Thanks to Melay for lending us her camera and for Kero for caring to shoot us even if was busy talking to his girlfriend on the phone. Sorry for the hassle. Haha

This happened a week ago. My close close friend from college who is now based in the US decided to go home for a surprise visit two weeks ago. So our college group held a meet up to catch up on everyone's lives. Went for lunch at the Ayala Terraces and chatted up over dessert thereafter.
So much has changed after we left college. Number one, my girlfriends are all pregnant! Before, we usually meet up for a drink or two or go clubbing. But now they were all discussing about childbirth and labor pains and breastfeeding and everything family-related. I guess marriage really has mellowed them down. I'm so proud of them! I'm happy because when the time comes for me to get pregnant, I will have a large support group to guide me in all my pregnancy and child-raising dilemmas.

Wore shorts to beat the heat and a sheer chiffon top i thrifted a while back. Paired it with my favorite platforms from people are people (i just love that store!), and brown purse from a friend's shop (Chris & Bern's). Went to run errands after so I changed into studded black flats.

Sorry for the grainy photos. Had to use my rusty point and shoot and tripod for these shots.

I was cleaning my room once and I unearthed this old Speedo one-piece swimsuit i wore to my cesafi (a local inter-college events kinda like UAAP) swimming competitions in college. I tried it on and was surprised that I could still fit in them given that I have gained so much weight after 7 years. Well the Lycra must have stretched off due to the amount of time it was stored in the closet (that could be the perfect explanation). This swimsuit greatly reminds me of Lady Gaga's outrageous and risque costumes while performing onstage or even just strutting her stuff in the airport. So I recreated my own version and added the silk shorts I found in Emall for only 100 pesos ($2) and a cute fascinator headband I found at the kid's section in SM. Do kids wear them these days? LOL
I'm so sorry for giving you nightmares on this one. But I just have to post them. Hope you all understand. LOL
But I had a good laugh while doing this. I'm still even laughing while typing this. **cue evil laugh**

What I love most about my office friends...

They put up with my inability to reply to texts. lol
They always laugh at all my silly and oftentimes corny jokes.
They compliment me for all my wash-day outfits even if they are beyond the norms.
They're equally vain so they don't tease me for taking a lot of self-portraits.lol
They put up with all the clutter and organized chaos in my work station.
Me = always late. But they have accepted that.
They don't get tired listening to all my blabbings.
And lastly, they put up with all my tantrums especially if i'm desperately looking for something in my disorganized table. hahahaha

These are just a few reasons why I hate to leave my job even if there are a lot more rewarding jobs out there that is so within my reach.

Anyways, enough with all the drama. Last Sunday was a total blast. A TEA PARTY is next.I'm so looking forward to it already.

Photography: by my officemate (who's afraid to hold the camera at first.LOL)

More of the photos we took last Sunday.
Yeah I know. We are that VAIN. You don't have to rub it in. LOL
Vanity is our worst vice. I guess it's a gazillion times better than taking drugs, right?

Me and my darling friends from the office had a sleepover at one of our friend's house.
And what better way to kill the time than to play dress up and pose pose pose.
Yeah, while the rest of the Philippines and three fourths of the world were glued on their tivos to witness our very own hero, Manny Pacquaio reign supreme over Joshua Clottey, we were under the heat of the sun ramping and posing our hearts out in the village's clubhouse.
We didn't care if we looked like 80's has-beens in our outfits.
We love the decade our mothers popped us into this universe. LOL
After hours and hours of doing make-up, posing, smiling, and laughing, my friends realized that supermodels aren't called "super" for nothing.
Photoshoot is tough. But it makes a good exercise.
Especially if it involves jumping & running. LOL
