Last week I had to let go of one of the things that really matters to me, my Nikon DSLR camera. It was really heartbreaking I had to resist the urge to grab it from the buyer and call off the deal while he was thoroughly inspecting it. I decided to just wait in the car and let my boyfriend deal with the buyer while I struggled with my feelings and convinced myself that it had to be done. If only I had lots of money to upgrade to a new camera and keep the old one on the side, I would. But because we're saving up, a new camera would only be possible by letting go of the old one. :( I hope the new owner takes care of that baby and may they create wonderful memories through pictures together. I know material things are just fleeting. But it's the love and care that you put into a thing that makes it more special and hard to let go. I'm so sentimental.
And because I'm devoid of a camera now, these lovely photos were taken by the boyfriend to ease my sorrows away. These were shot during a hippie-themed engagement shoot for one of our clients. Even my clothes and the weather reflected my current state of emotion that day; dark and gloomy.
