Just one of those regular Sundays. Lounging in the mall, have dinner, grab some coffee, then go home, put on the pajamas, go to sleep but then not able to sleep because of the caffeine, read some book, then doze off and dream that tomorrow will be still be Sunday.

My Sundays might be often boring but I like it that way; relaxed and laid back.

What are your Sundays like? :)

Come and Go

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I took our dog Kaboom to the vet last Saturday for his annual round of anti-rabies shot. My Kaboom is the sweetest and most affectionate dog in the whole world (as with every other dog owners would say. :) ) He was given to us by my sister-in-law some 3 years ago along with his half-sister Ate Sacchi ("Ate" means big sister). But unfortunately, Ate Sacchi has gone to dog heaven after being ran over by a car in our own compound two years ago. I remembered I was in the office when my sister broke to me the sad news through text. I was really devastated and I cried for weeks like a baby. It really broke my heart it felt like I lost a sister or something. She died in the most horrible way. Good thing I did not witness her lifeless body being buried in our front yard. Losing a dog is really tramautic I no longer want to adopt another one for fear of losing them again. But then again, that's life. Loving brings you the happiest feeling but it could also give you greatest heartache.

The photos are just beyond gorgeous. I can't stop looking at them.
I'm so inspired. :)
I want all the dresses... the shoes..and that floral headpiece. STAT!
Now if only the boyfriend lends me the camera so I can practice? I'm bursting with inspiration right now.

The Dark Side

During highschool when school is out, me and my sister used to teach swimming lessons to kids as a summer job. The pay was good and it was fun and fulfilling to see these cute little kids swim their way from one end of the pool to the other during their summer clinic graduation. But also every school opening my classmates would never fail to tease me for having chlorine-dry hair and sun burnt skin. I stopped teaching the next summer and the summers after that for I became conscious and bothered about the constant teasings. In the Philippines having a darker skin tone isn't considered attractive especially with the guys. And I was crushing on someone then.tehehe

But that was during my awkward younger days when I was foolish and without a sense of identity. Now I know better. Why would I give up something I love just to adhere to the concept of other people's perception of beauty? I am a sucker for beaches and every now and then I make sure to go on a beach getaway to recharge and unwind. So why would I deprive myself of the beach and other outdoor activities just to avoid getting darker? That would be such a sad and limited life.

Now, gone are the days of feeling pressured to achieve fairer skin. Multinational beauty product companies surely wouldn't get a dime from me. LOL Thank you very much but I am happy and comfortable with my own skin.Screw the standards. Life is too short to be spent on what the world wants you to be. :)

Mini Polka

The boss treated us to a sumptuous buffet lunch at Pino, a restaurant that caters all Filipino dishes. I had too much of my all-time favorites baked oyster and fish kinilaw (raw fish cooked only in vinegar and spices) that even walking to the car took a lot of effort. lol

Anyways, I felt sorry for one of the waitress who accidentally spilled water on me coz she was really afraid that I'd go ballistic on her. People who don't me really think I am a snob and cold-hearted person judging from the sourpuss expression I always have on my face. But that's just really my natural facial expression, I don't mean to be mean-looking. So she was really apologetic I smiled and convinced her that it was okey, no harm done. She was so sincere that i really felt bad for her.

As for the outfit, I was feeling vintagey so i opted to wear this polka dress i thrifted a while back.

About the outfit:

Just deal with it

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Last Sunday the boyfriend and I attended the christening of Bill and Joahnna's little bundle of joy, the too cute for words, Bettina Jo. You may remember Bill and Joahnna as one of the couples we shoot for an engagement session.

As much as I want to show you how perfect their daughter is, with her cute lace fascinator and other headpieces courtesy of her equally fashionable mom, I was not able to upload her pictures in photobucket because me and the boyfriend got into an argument about my blogging. So these were the only pictures I was able to save for my blog. And they are all about me. Camwhore enough? Okey, whatever.

I just wish sometimes the boyfriend will realize that I find happiness in blogging and embrace the fact that I need time for it.
The outfit:

Shirt - stolen from the bf's closet
Distressed jeans - thrifted
Peep-toe platforms - from People r People
Leather belt - borrowed from dad
Bag - MCM
